CAN YOU PLAY?
The release of this game-changing version of PES was the perfect time to throw down the gauntlet. The fire in this case, came from the insight that PES is the next phase of your soccer development. FIFA is for fans. PES is for players. Anyone can buy this game, but not everyone can play it. So we challenged fans outright with the tagline “Can you Play?”
Since PES 2012 is the ultimate player’s game, we needed the ultimate referee to enforce this new way of playing. And Robert Roberto Roberto, the world’s greatest referee, was born. His love for the game is matched only by his love for the rules and it is his sole mission in life to uphold the PES Code of Conduct – both on and off the field.
We created a content rich website to serve as the hub for all PES activity including game updates and exclusive videos from the diminutive yet authoritative, Robert Roberto Roberto. A running feed of PES news and updates, encourages users to return often. A mobile version of the site allows fans to engage and watch content from anywhere. An interactive tab allows users to honor the Code of Conduct in the real world by physically carding friends and family for infractions. And custom red card/yellow card foam hand giveaways at MLS games brought the fun to the real game of soccer. Watch out, FIFA, you’re about to get kicked out of the game – or at least out of first place.
