Activision/Blizzard, Inc., the largest game publisher, developer and distributor, has created some of the most recognizable video game franchises worldwide, including Call of Duty®, Tony Hawk, Spider-Man™, and the #1 subscription-based MMORPG, World of Warcraft®. At its helm is visionary Bobby Kotick. And in 1999, then-VP of marketing, Eric Johnson, also had a vision as to the needs of Activision and other gaming clients, and decided to take Activision’s marketing out of house and form his own agency. And, thus, Ignited Minds was born. Since then, Ignited (we dropped “Minds” in 2007) has worked closely with Activision to create standout game packaging, supportive collateral and mind-blowing booths at global trade shows, like E3, PAX and Comic-Con.

As Ignited was born out of Activision in 1999, we have an institutional knowledge and long-standing history with the client that gives us a unique understanding of what their brand needs. This trusted relationship has enabled our experiential team to develop amazing shows for massive audiences. At E3 we’ve pulled out all the stops to craft mega-sized, 360-degree immersive experiences for titles like Call of Duty, the #1 entertainment property of all time. We tailor our deliverables to a diverse and demanding target. At E3, our main audience is media and industry professionals. With Comic-Con (San Diego and New York) and EGS (Mexico, Brazil) we target gamers, influencers and retailers, so there’s a focus on getting the controller in the hands of the people to showcase new features of a particular title and tell a story.

In addition to the terrain of trade booths, Ignited owns the turf of key art and packaging design. From the Superhero franchises like Spider-Man and X-Men to the long-awaited collector’s edition package of StarCraft II, we are true partners with Activision/Blizzard to develop packaging that is iconic and impactful on shelf, online and throughout their marketing usages.

Whether it’s a game demo at Comic-Con or a launch strategy for Activision/Blizzard's next big title, Ignited is not limited to joining the conversation; we spark it.
